The Holy Name Medical Center School of Nursing traces its beginning to the foundation of the Medical Center itself in 1925 – when it opened with a class comprised of just 13 women. Exceptional nursing care was the trademark of the school during its inception and has continued throughout its strong 85 year history.

We believe that the goal of education within the School of Nursing is to promote the growth of our students toward their full personal and professional potential. Additionally, we fully understand that professional nursing requires the utmost dedication to fostering the integrity and worth of all individuals who require health care.
A large percentage of our graduates hold positions throughout the healthcare industry - including Holy Name Medical Center itself - and continue to make significant contributions to the nursing practice.
