Holy Name Medical Center the Only N.J. Hospital Named on NJBIZ's Best Places to Work List
Holy Name Medical Center is once again the only hospital in New Jersey to rank among NJBIZ Magazine's Best Places to Work list, where it's held the distinction 13 years in a row. Holy Name is also ranked among the state's top 10 places to work in the large company category, up from the top 20 last year.
"Consistently making the Best Places to Work list validates our efforts to differentiate ourselves from other health care providers in our approach to providing quality, affordable healthcare," said Michael Maron, president and CEO of Holy Name. "We have created a culture of high-quality, compassionate care that embraces innovation. One of the greatest compliments I consistently receive is when people come through Holy Name, engage with our staff and say, 'Wow, this place is different.'"
NJBIZ Magazine's Best Places to Work survey ranks 100 New Jersey companies based on size: small (15-49 employee), medium (50-259 employees), and large (250+ employees) companies. NJBIZ looks at a number of areas, including work/life balance, salary and benefits. The program also identifies, recognizes and honors the top places that benefit the state's economy, workforce and businesses.
"Holy Name promotes an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment that is reflective of the community it serves," said Manny Gonzalez, vice president of Human Resources. “We understand the importance of balancing work, life, health, and wellness, especially in an industry that requires a 24/7 commitment. We pride ourselves in creating opportunities for our employees to advance professionally and for offering programs and benefits that support a high quality of life."
Organizations that participate in the Best Places to Work program are rated on workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. Surveys are completed by employers and employees annually.
