General Surgeon Joins Holy Name Medical Partners
Hee Yang, MD, a general surgeon in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey is now a member of Holy Name Medical Partners, the medical center's physician network comprising more than 125 multi-specialty providers with locations throughout Bergen and Hudson Counties. Dr. Yang is board-certified in general surgery and has performed more than 10,000 cases in his career.

Dr. Yang has extensive experience in gastric, colorectal, pancreatic, liver and breast cancer cases. He performs traditional open procedures and robotic surgery techniques. Dr. Yang is a pioneer in minimally invasive approaches including laparoscopic procedures and was instrumental in developing these methods.

Fluent in Korean and highly respected in the Asian community, Dr. Yang has served as medical director of Holy Name's Asian Health Services (AHS) for the past ten years.
"I became involved with Asian Health Services at Holy Name, which provides outreach, education, and resources to Korean, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino and Indian patient populations within our community," said Dr. Yang. "I have a deep understanding about the challenges and barriers Asian Americans face when navigating the complex and sometimes confusing health care system. As chief medical officer of AHS, I am proud to lead a team of nearly 300 physicians who are working to help bridge the gap in health disparities among Asian Americans, who experience higher incidences of certain conditions and diseases including cancer and hepititis B and C. Cultural sensitivity is the hallmark of Holy Name's care model and it's how we continue to differentiate ourselves locally and nationally."
