Arifa Faiz, MD, is a board-certified radiologist with more than ten years of experience in the field of breast imaging, which includes interpretation of screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast specific gamma imaging, 3D tomosynthesis and breast ultrasounds. She also has extensive experience in breast interventional procedures including ultrasound and stereotactic guided breast biopsies and pre-operative wire localization procedures.
Prior to joining the Holy Name Medical Center breast imaging team in Teaneck New Jersey, she worked as an attending breast radiologist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City for 6 years. During that time, she was also affiliated with Albert Einstein Medical College and was actively involved in supervision and training of radiology resident doctors.
Dr. Faiz was an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University in New York City.
Dr Faiz obtained her medical degree from Fatima Jinnah Medical College, University of Punjab, Pakistan. After completing a year of internship, she taught physiology and pathology to medical students at Fatima Jinnah and King Edward Medical Colleges for 8 years. She then completed her residency training in diagnostic radiology from Mount Sinai St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital, New York. Following that she completed two years of fellowship training in abdominal and breast imaging from Mount Sinai Beth Israel Medical Center, New York City.
