Asian Health Services (AHS) at Holy Name Medical Center is a national leader in providing high-quality, compassionate, culturally sensitive medical care. AHS cares for Asian-Americans in the greater New Jersey/New York area through prevention, treatment, education, and community outreach programs. AHS partners with community organizations, physicians, and philanthropic supporters to achieve the exceptional patient experience and support high-quality health outcomes for all Asian community members.
The foundation of Asian Health Services lies in the success of Holy Name Medical Center's Korean Medical Program, which was established in 2008 to serve Bergen County’s burgeoning Korean community. Holy Name identified cultural and linguistic barriers that Korean-Americans faced when navigating the complex healthcare system and as a result, designed a program that aimed to bridge those gaps and eliminate health disparities that exist for underserved and uninsured populations within its community. Since its inception, the program has expanded to include five distinct programs under the umbrella of Asian Health Services, including the Chinese Medical Program, Filipino Medical Program, Japanese Medical Program, and Indian Medical Program.
Our mission is to serve the community. Our culturally sensitive approach to care is rooted in education, prevention, medical excellence, and exceptional patient experience. By combining on site medical concierge services with proactive community health education and outreach, we continue our mission to remove healthcare barriers and enhance the quality of life for Asian-Americans in our communities.
