Nathan Teich, MD, completed his bachelor degree in medical science with a specialization in human physiology at the University of Western Ontario, Canada. He received his medical doctorate from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed his internal medicine residency at NYU Langone Hospital/Bellevue/Manhattan VA followed by a hematology/oncology fellowship at NYU Long Island.
Dr. Teich participates in clinical research as well as research focused in immunology/tumor biology. During his fellowship he engaged in quality improvement research related to improving patient outcomes in those with advanced metastatic disease. He is a member of the American Board of Internal Medicine, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology.
Dr. Teich prioritizes educating patients and their families to understand their disease and treatment options. He also believes that where a patient decides to be treated may also influence outcomes. At Holy Name, Dr. Teich regularly confers with his colleagues to present his patients with a multidisciplinary approach that aligns with the collective goal of advocating, empowering and improving the patient’s quality of life.
