We are open.
We are clean.
We are ready.

Holy Name Medical Center is happy to announce that we have begun our return to normal operations. You may wonder, Is the hospital safe? Yes. We are ready. Ready to partner with you and your family on all your healthcare needs.

Holy Name is the first hospital in North Jersey to complete a rigorous, deep cleaning of our 450,000 square feet of clinical and non-clinical space. We started with manual disinfection, then applied electrostatic sanitizing mist, and finally, blasted UV-C light to kill more than 30 types of pathogens — including Covid-19.

Looking to Enter a Clinical Trial?

Clinical studies performed at Holy Name Medical Center are highly controlled and carefully monitored. The entire research team is involved with each patient and the benefits and risks are thoroughly explained prior to each trial. Participation is always voluntary and patients may withdraw at any time.

2 Studies for Patients with Relapsing-Remitting MS

  1. Patients with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) between the ages of 18 and 65 may be qualified to join this study that is evaluating a new drug to help reduce relapses. Qualified volunteers will receive study-related medical evaluations and the study drug at no cost. Compensation for travel may also be provided.

  2. Patients with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis that have been newly treated with a specific MS treatment or those with other approved MS disease-modifying therapies may be qualified to participate in this study, which is monitoring patient safety during these treatments. By enrolling in the study, you will help researchers collect important information on patients being treated for relapsing forms of MS. Participants must be between 18 and 65 years old.

Actively Relapsing MS

Patients between the ages of 18 and 70 currently experiencing a MS relapse may participate in an investigative study of a human antibody that promotes remyelination in early preclinical studies. Qualified volunteers will receive study-related medical evaluations and the study drug at no cost.

Chronic Pain from MS

Patients between the ages of 18 and 65 and have chronic MS related pain with no other diseases or conditions that cause pain may be eligible for this new study. Participants will be randomly divided into two groups and meet once a week for four weeks. Both groups will use new psychological treatments to reduce pain perception to determine which treatment is better at reducing pain.
