Dr. Yi-Horng Lee is a board-certified pediatric surgeon at Holy Name. His approach to care is to be comprehensive and collaborative, listening to parents, other providers on a child’s healthcare team, and the primary care physician to provide patient- and family-centered expert surgical care. Dr. Lee says the best reward he could receive from his work is a big smile on a child’s face and a sigh of relief from their parents.
He graduated from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and completed his internship and residency at the University of Iowa. He completed a second residency at SUNY Women & Children’s Hospital at Buffalo. In addition, he completed fellowships in surgery and transplant research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He says he is proud to come to Holy Name because of its strong sense of community and shared focus on giving patients the best care.
Dr. Lee is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics Surgical Section and the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Children’s Oncology Group, Children’s Hospital Association, American Pediatric Surgical Association, and the Association for Academic Surgery.
Dr. Lee is active in research and has been published in more than 30 medical publications. He has also lectured at medical schools in New Jersey and New York.
