Please Note: Consistent with measures recommended by the CDC and in concert with the proactive response by Holy Name Medical Center, the Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing is continuing lecture classroom instruction in a virtual environment for the Winter/Spring 2021 semester. Skills labs will be held on campus following the School of Nursing COVID-19 Safety Policy outlined on page 50 of the 2020-2021 Student Handbook. Clinical experiences continue to be conducted at the Medical Center, where extensive precautions are being taken to protect our nursing students, staff, patients, families and visitors. Holy Name Medical Center Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing Information Sessions for prospective students will be conducted remotely via the Google Hangouts Meet platform for the remaining sessions. This platform is a video conferencing platform which will permit participants to hear and see the presentation as well as ask questions. Registered individuals will receive further instructions on how to access the Hangout's Meet function to join the video conference on the day and time they register for. You will need either a smart phone or computer to join the meeting.
The Holy Name Medical Center Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing information session will provide prospective students with insights into the rigor and challenges of entering a nursing program. Information will be provided on academic expectations, admission requirements, time commitment and costs.
Each session lasts approximately 60-90 minutes and starts promptly at the published start time. Prospective students for the RN program, LPN program and LPN-RN pathway program are invited to attend.
