The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), a standardized nursing entrance examination, is administered to measure general academic ability, including math skills, reading comprehension and science knowledge. Candidates for the PN Program must complete the ATI TEAS Admission exam with a minimum composite score of 50%. Student must register for the TEAS exam in advance. Submit official high school transcript or GED scores and/or official transcripts from ALL post-secondary colleges, universities, or technical schools attended to the School of Nursing admission office. A minimum grade of "C" or 70 is required to receive transfer credit for all general education and science courses. In addition, transferred science courses required for the PN Program nursing curriculum must have been completed within the last ten years. This program does not accept transfer credits for nursing course work from other academic institutions. Any applicant with 2 or more nursing course failures is ineligible to apply for this program.
