Parlavecchio Named Chief Human Resources Officer at Holy Name Medical Center

Parlavecchio Named Chief Human Resources Officer at Holy Name Medical Center Holy Name Medical Center today announced the appointment of Caryn Parlavecchio to chief human resources officer.

"Caryn is a passionate, strategic leader who will further cultivate Holy Name's reputation as a 'Best Place to Work' and our exceptional track record in recruiting top talent," said Michael Maron, president and CEO of Holy Name. "Her strong background in workplace cultural and organizational transformation will be critical to our future growth, especially given the complicated and rapidly changing healthcare industry and world."

Prior to joining Holy Name, she served as Vice President & Global HR Head for Oncology & Pharma Development Units at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, where she held several successive leadership roles during her nearly 20 year tenure there. Before Novartis, Parlavecchio worked in human resources and communications at Honeywell International and Ingersoll-Rand.

"I am excited to partner with the executive team to deliver on a new HR strategy focused on talent, culture and operational excellence, and promise to listen, learn and contribute to delivering on the medical center's mission," said Parlavecchio. Parlavecchio holds both a bachelor of arts degree in English and master's degree in counseling from Seton Hall University.

She is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades, which include Novartis' Global HR Team Awards and its Global Pharma Award. She also received the Healthcare Businesswomen Association's Rising Star Award.

Parlavecchio currently resides in Short Hills, NJ, with her husband, Michael, and two daughters, Ella and Rosie.
