On behalf of the leadership and faculty at Holy Name Medical Center, thank you for your interest in our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program.
It is an exciting time to be at Holy Name, where clinical innovation meets patient-centered care. Our new GME program builds on the successes of our storied, 100-year history to develop the next generation of outstanding physicians. Through our apprenticeship-style training model, residents receive the one-on-one teaching, mentoring, and support necessary to become skilled, compassionate providers.
Our emphasis on cutting-edge research means that residents will be at the forefront of scientific developments that evolutionize care. Holy Name's presence at and participation in national meetings holds us in high rank among other institutions.
Holy Name residents train in one of the most diverse patient populations in the nation, essential to our mission of providing inclusive care in the community. We are also deeply committed to physician wellness and regard our students' wellbeing as essential components of their success.
As a Hispanic American who has completed residencies in the U.S. and Venezuela, I am honored to bring a worldly approach to Holy Name's GME program. I am inspired and energized by my students and have been the recipient of multiple teaching awards during and after my own residency.
It is with great pride and immense gratitude that I welcome you to our program.
Sincerely,
Omar Bellorin-Marin, MD
