Holy Name Medical Center, one of New Jersey's last remaining independent Catholic hospitals and a leading provider of care, today announced appointments to its executive nursing leadership team.
"Our organization continues to grow and thrive despite being thrust into the epicenter of New Jersey's COVID-19 outbreak, which was an unprecedented event in our hospital's history," said Michele Acito, DNP, RN, NE-BC, NP-C, executive vice president and chief nursing officer at Holy Name. "Cedar, Donna, Joseph and Suzanne's leadership and expertise will keep Holy Name on the forefront of medical advancements, cutting-edge therapies and treatments, program development, and exceptional patient care. Our nurses play a crucial role in the way care is delivered and that is especially true in the midst of this pandemic, when our frontline heroes not only showcased their skill and adaptability, but also courage and resilience."
Giles is now responsible for the day to day operations for emergency, critical care, and cardiovascular services. Juliano oversees all inpatient services and the department of neurosciences. Wang will lead quality and safety initiatives, community outreach and education, simulation learning, palliative and home care services, in addition to the medical center's residential hospice Villa Marie Claire and the Sister Claire Tynan School of Nursing. Vaglio will manage day-to-day operations for surgical services, women's and children's services, anesthesia, pain management, the medical center's Institute for Wound Healing, and surgical practices in the Holy Name Medical Partners physician network.
