Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Our MICU is staffed 24-hours-a-day by our highly trained New Jersey State Certified MICU paramedics, specializing in advanced emergency care. The unit brings an intensive care setting to patients in emergency situations and features:
- Cardiac monitoring
- Defibrillation
- Rapid sequence intubation (an advanced airway technique)
- Adult, pediatric, and trauma life support
State-of-the-art communication allows our paramedics to be in constant contact with Holy Name Medical Center's Emergency Department physicians to relay patient status reports and receive medication and treatment therapy orders.
