Holy Name Medical Center in Haiti

Our Haitian hospital, Hôpital Sacré Coeur

For more than 20 years, Holy Name staff has volunteered at Hôpital Sacré Coeur in Milot, Haiti.

Their passion for the people of Haiti grew stronger and deeper. So much so that in 2012, Holy Name acquired The CRUDEM Foundation, Inc., a 501 c 3 non-profit founded in 1995, devoted to providing financial, volunteer and medical resources to Hôpital Sacré Coeur.

In 2021, The CRUDEM Foundation transitioned to Haiti Health Promise, which functions under the Holy Name umbrella of exceptional healthcare facilities and programs.

Support the Children's Hospital in Haiti

Introducing the New Children's Hospital in Haiti. Designed to keep children healthy from birth through adolescence.

Prenatal and children’s health issues that would be considered preventable or manageable here in the US are far more serious – even life-threatening – in Haiti.

There is no reliable resource in the Milot region dedicated to delivering high quality, acute and emergency pediatric health care. Holy Name is changing that.

Building on the success of Holy Name's hospital in Milot, Hôpital Sacré Coeur, we are constructing a 30,000 sq. ft Children's Hospital to handle maternity care and acute, critical and healthy child care.

Features include:

• 7 labor and delivery rooms (3 capable of isolation), C-section operating room and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU)

• 36 maternity beds with bassinets

• 49-bed Pediatrics Department, complete with 2 isolation rooms and a large outdoor covered play area

• 4,600 sq. ft. Emergency Department

• Allied health services: laboratory, blood bank, histology
