Holy Name Medical Center announces the appointment of Ryan Kennedy, CPA, as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. In this position, Kennedy will oversee the hospital's financial, accounting and budgetary functions.

"I am proud to uphold the patient-centered values of Holy Name Medical Center in order to help our community achieve the highest attainable level of health through prevention, education and treatment," says Kennedy. "As CFO, I will continue to focus on the long term financial stability needed for us to continue to be a premier, innovative, health system devoted to the highest quality patient care."

Ryan Kennedy joined the administrative staff at Holy Name Medical Center (HNMC), a 361-bed acute care facility with 2,800 employees, as Director of Budget and Reimbursement in 2010 and was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Financial Services in 2012. "Ryan's results-oriented approach and ability to think strategically will play a pivotal role in continuing our track record of delivering high-quality health care and driving innovation, while helping Holy Name to realize its plans for growth in the new service areas," says Michael Maron, President and CEO, HNMC.

Mr. Kennedy's strong and broad exposure to healthcare includes his previous positions as Controller of St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Supervising Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young, where he was a member of the healthcare group conducting financial statement audits of hospitals, managed-care organizations and other healthcare related companies.

He received a BA in Economics from Rutgers University, where he also received his MBA with a Focus in Professional Accounting from the Graduate School of Management. Ryan Kennedy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
