The Holy Name Nurse Residency Program bridges the gap between education and practice for full-time, newly graduated nurses. It is accredited as a Practice Transition Program by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (AANC’s) Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs.
The 13-month program includes 144 hours (with a minimum of four hours per month) of paid classroom time as well as 2,000 hours of on-the-job training and 1-to-1 mentoring. Participants also have access to The Russell Berrie Institute of Simulation Learning to expand their specialized skills as well as practice communication, team dynamics, critical thinking, and decision-making.
Holy Name's Nurse Residency Program provides new graduates a safe and supportive environment during the transition from novice to competent nurse, giving them the training and support they need to thrive in their careers.
Upon hiring, new nurse graduates are automatically enrolled in this program.
