Holy Name Medical Center's Department of Orthopedic Surgery Bone and Joint Center offers some of the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery. These include large joint [shoulder, hip & knee] and small joint [elbow, wrist & ankle] arthroscopy; minimally invasive fracture fixation; primary and revision joint arthroplasty of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle; and spine surgery. Specialized procedures, such as computer navigation for joint arthroplasty, patient specific joint replacements, and Genzyme Carticel Biosurgery TM for articular cartilage regeneration are available. Our Joint Replacement Program offers a team approach that begins in the doctor's office and follows through to home care. Our board-certified orthopedic surgeons also perform complex reconstructive procedures related to athletic injuries, such as multi-ligament reconstructions and meniscal transplantation, as well as reconstructions for failed joint arthroplasty.
